CREW St. Louis Legacy Board

A powerful network of experience, perspective, and connection

The CREW St. Louis Legacy Board is a dynamic group of past leaders who continue to shape the organization’s future—while enjoying meaningful connection with one another. The Legacy Board brings together institutional knowledge, trusted counsel, and enduring relationships that strengthen CREW St. Louis at every level.

In addition to serving as an advisory and mentoring resource, the Legacy Board gathers three to four times per year for intentionally curated meetings—creating space to reconnect, celebrate shared history, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes CREW St. Louis special.

Mission
The Legacy Board exists to preserve and activate the institutional knowledge, leadership experience, and historical perspective of those who have served in executive leadership roles.

Legacy Board members serve as a valued advisory council, offering mentorship, continuity, and strategic insight to support CREW St. Louis’ ongoing growth, leadership development, and long-term success.

Eligibility
Legacy Board membership is open to CREW-St. Louis Members who have completed at least one full term on the CREW St. Louis Executive Board.

This updated eligibility reflects a thoughtful shift from prior criteria based solely on tenure or past-president status. It ensures that the Legacy Board is composed of members who have:

  • Led at the highest level of the organization

  • A deep understanding of governance, mission, and strategic priorities

  • Firsthand experience guiding CREW St. Louis through change and growth

Expectations
Legacy Board service is designed to be meaningful, flexible, and impactful. Members are expected to:

  • Participate in at least one Legacy Board meeting per year (3–4 per year) that foster connection, celebration, and shared purpose

  • Be available to advise current leadership when called upon

  • Serve as mentors within CREW St. Louis’ mentorship program

  • Support key initiatives, including the CREW Foundation’s fundraising efforts
